Snowblowing in June...sort of.

After subjecting the Yamaha snowblower to its heaviest work load ever this past winter. (See previous blog post about that one!) I noticed the drive belts were slipping. The machine barely made it thru the season. This afternoon during a period of relative warmth I decided it was time to take the old belts out. Anyone who has ever worked on a snowblower knows this is not an easy task. Many springs, nuts, bolts, dead organic matter, pulleys and guarding have to be removed. But having an air ratchet made the job a bit easier. Have a look at the pictures below...can you spot anything dear reader? Yes...if you thought the belts look like they need a vacation you would be correct. Now I go in the quest for new belts.  Hopefully the auto/hardware store can match them.
