We accomplished quite a bit in the past weeks until we got sick. We chose a nice and sunny day to put the sails on. According to the date stamp on the pictures it was May 24. No wind in the forecast. All went well, until the jib was almost up and there was the wind. We scrambled. Got the thing up, and Bice quickly scrambled to the foredeck to tie the sheet onto the jib. After that the wind died down. Never fails.
That was Friday, and on Sunday we went back with the dinghy, outboard, and gas tank. Too bad there was no gas in the tank, and all stations in Gore Bay are closed on Sundays including the marina pumps (season isn't quite there yet), so Tim rowed, and I just walked to our boat.
Neighbours invited us for cocktail hour and so a new season has started. The boat is pretty much ready to go out, just waiting for warmer weather and us getting over these sinus infections. Hopefully soon, since we have sunny weather coming with temperatures of 20 to 25 and fair winds.
