What to post ...

We are both a bit tired of posting pictures of snow and more snow, so we have been a bit quiet here. Life in Silver Water goes on, no matter how much snow we have or don't have. But now it is starting to melt, be it ever so slowly. We still have at least 1 foot left and the banks, well, they're just huge (maybe late May?) and the North Channel is still solidly frozen.
In  the meantime we do have something to report about the dock at Cooks Dock Rd ., Stella's favourite hang out in the summer for swimming when we're not on the boat.

This February a crew started to work down at the dock. After some investigative  phone calls from Tim, he found out that it was actually the ministry of oceans and fisheries that had contracted a company from Blind River to dredge the water at the east side of the dock (an old crib was there with boulders on which a house/hut/cabin used to sit) and to reinforce the shoreline. Here some pictures of during and after.

They left a mess. There is also a boat ramp there and it looks in poor shape.
