Off we went with trailer in tow, and picked up paint and the new bbq on our way to the new home.
Started with some serious cleaning of sinks and fridge. The place was pretty dirty with soot, years of cigarette smoke deposit and a greasy film of all the bacon cooked on the wood burning stove. Bill and Jill arrived a few hours later and the painting started. Bill was a real slave driver and we were his gophers. Finished all the painting in 3 days thanks to Bill and Jill. The rooms look bigger now and bright.
Also got a lot of cleaning done, but more is needed.
Our new equipment was dropped off as weĺ. We are now the proud owners of a Cub Cadet, a chain saw and a wood splitter.
Took the ferry back on Sunday and are staying with Drew and Jan. The content of the sea container was transferred this morning with the help of Drew, and others. Tomorrow we're going home.
