Getting ready for our next phase in life

We are busy here getting organized for the big move. We had a dumpster in the driveway and basically tossed half of our belongings. We're moving from a spacious 4-level backsplit to a 2 bedroom bungalow. Stuff had to go, and some of our stuff was really old and worn and not worth moving. All that is done now. Tim did most of it on week days. He also did a lot of packing already. Slowly but steadily we're getting ready.
The logistics are a bit mind boggling. The closing date for Lucan is May 4, the closing date for our new house is June 7. I work till May 11. So we will be homeless for a few weeks. We have arranged storage for our belongings and the sea container and us will be out of here on May 3. We will live with our friends Drew and Jan until we can move to the boat. Tim and Stella will go first, with trailer in tow with all our boat stuff, to the boat and prep her for launch. Stella has done this now for a few years and is an excellent supervisor. We hope the ice will be out of the harbour. Imagine, we will only live 1/2 hour from the boat in the nearby future! My 2 week vacation starts on Friday, May 11 at 4:00PM. I will leave for Gore Bay Saturday morning and that's it. We will be living on the boat. After my vacation I am officially retired. That is it for our life as we have known it for a long time.
