Ticks tick me off

The ticks we found on Stella are the deer ticks and carriers of lyme disease. We will take the mighty Stel for blood tests in 8 weeks and hope for the best. She is now on the tick and flea destroy program (usually we start this sometime in April), so we feel better and took her and friends D&J and their dog Maggie for a good hike to the Varna Nature Trails, an area that doesn't have such a dense deer population as the Pinery does. Best thing yet; there were no signs of "DOGS ON LEASH" and all that. The dogs had fun, and so did we. Saw this amazing tree. Closer inspection revealed that it had grown around an old tree stump, now long gone.
