The beat of March, and we're marching to it

After some really nice spring weather we're back to reality. At least we're are in the banana belt of Ontario and don;t have the -20C temperatures, but -10 is cold enough. Too cold according to all the averages that statisticians like to throw at you. So, cold, a bit of snow, and wind. Lots of wind. Now, if we compare our snow and wind to what happened to the north of here and in Newfoundland, we're just plain lucky. However, even the lucky can whine and complain (I hope).

Lots of wind last week and this week is still pretty bad and with the windchill it's -20. Tim decided to drive me in every day (Monday, Tuesday and tomorrow), and then at the end of my working day arrive at Huron with Stella and we take her for a run behind my work in the woods and out of the wind. Here some picture of the damage caused by the high winds last week.

Still planning/hoping to launch the boat in late April. The fact that Georgian Bay has more ice now than it had all winter does not deter us. Cheers!
