We always like to be in Parry Sound. It is nice to go up and down the main drag; you can stock up on groceries and wine, and there is the local farmers' market and bakery.
Met up with our friends Drew and Jan who just got back in their float plane from the cabin outside of Thunderbay and were now staying at their cottage at McKellar. The weather was wet and windy, so no flying for Drew and no running for Jan, who is training for a marathon.
This was probably the best tender we ever had
Drew decided that to make up for all that, that maybe we should drive to Killarney for some fish and chips, and that way we could drive Tim's car back to at least Parry Sound, which is closer to home than Killarney. Did that and we can honestly say that after 3 weeks the fish and chips in Killarney are still really good.
Fog the next morning, and it did not really want to lift. Drew had planned to fly his plane back home, but because of the weather had to leave it at the cottage. He then decided that he might as well drive Tim's car back to Penetang, our home marina, while Jan would drive their car. So, with the help of some really good friends our holidays continued to be on track. Thank you Dick & Jen for the tow, Edwin and Jan for picking us up in Killarney, and Drew and Jan for driving our car back.
We left for 12 Mile Bay in the fog, where we arrived save and sound, to meet ... Jason and Lela and their daughters.
