Shorter days means we need lights

Now that it's getting colder and the days are getting shorter we need hydro in the garage/loft, just get lights up and heat going, so we can continue to work there. When I say "we", I really mean Tim. He has done most of the heavy lifting so far,  while I occasionally assist by handing tools, hold boards in place, etc., basically a general labourer, housekeeper,  dog walker, gardener (we still have to cut the grass) and cook.

Tim pulled an electrical permit, started to run wires, install outlets, and a breaker box with a cable running underground to the main panel in the house.

All this had to be inspected and after passing that hurdle, we were permitted to energize the electrical system and now we have lights, heat in the garage, and hopefully soon in the loft.
There is still a lot to do. Just finished the ceiling in the loft,

next will be the drywall, and figure out plumbing for the bathroom, then finish the garage, and then build that bathroom. Oh and I forgot the walk-in closet, the stairs and the railing in the loft, so you don't fall down onto the stairs, and have then a good tumble down. Guess that the drywall needs painting at some point in the spring when we can open some windows.

Once all the walls are up and everything will be closed in, the inspector will come back to give his final blessing.

In the meantime slowly hut steadily the leaves are changing (it seems late this year),

and the acorns are dropping. Deer and blue jays love to eat those things, and we have some daily visitors. These are the quiet ones that sneak up to the back of the house.
