Summer is going by fast

And it was hot in August. So hot that we went swimming quite a bit in the afternoon after chores were done. What chores? Here some pics to show you. Good thing Tim isn't afraid of heights. I am, so my job was to help him handing tools, cool drinks, and help with moving and setting up the scaffolding, cut the grass, keep the fridge well provisioned, and entertain the dog, oh, and guests.

We also hired our friends Doug's  and Jane's grandson, Cormac, who was visiting from BC, to do some grunt work under the mudroom extension. As in, put fibre glass insulation between the floor joists, then covering them with rigid foam that also functions as a vapour barrier. Then sealing it with sprayfoam. Child labour? Yes, but we paid him minimum wage, plus a royal tip, and icecream. We needed a "child", or somebody really skinny that could work in tight quarters, 40 cm clearance!

Here some pictures.

Opa Doug is helping Cormac to get dressed for the nasty job that awaited.

Possibly the highest point of the house.

Tim sits down. The outside is finished🍻🍹😎.

As you can tell the footing of this 3-tier scaffolding was extremely secure, as far as Tim was concerned anyway. He felt safe!

Swimming was nice after that.

Now the inside. It's precision time
