Horses, and horsing around

 You have work horses and show horses.

These seem to be work horses

And then there is a creature horsing around, just a different kind of work horse. Yes, the winter tires came off. It was a nice, sunny day. Stella just wanted to play ball, and being in the way, she got to swim. The water may have been 3°C, but that didn't stop her. Definitely a show horse.

After a rainy and cold April, May had some decent, sunny days, with temperatures of around 15°C, and we went for a road trip to Chutes Provincial Park and the Seven Sisters Rapids, north of Massey. We had planned this for some time, but waited patiently until we could see them after the snow melt, but before the bugs would come out. We would go back there in a heartbeat. It was also an easy trail to hike.

Back in Massey we had to stop at the local firehall. No surprise here. I admired the building, while Tim was talking to the local captain.

And on we went, westward. We have anchored many times at Hotham Island, and always looked at Mount McBean and the North Shore. Now we drove it. It is all part of Sagamok Reserve. Didn't go all the way to McBean Harbour, chose this point at Sagamok Road since it offered some better views based on what we saw on i-Boating, a really neat piece of software that we always had going on the tablet as a backup to the chartplotter. Here some pictures of the North Channel. We were able to see Mt. McBean, Croker, Fox and way in the distance the Benjies.

And now its really spring on the island

We were able to sit out, drink a beer, and wear shorts and sandals.

And back to workhorses. Tim built some steps for easy access to the top of our cliff.
