Well, we did have a nice snowfall, that blanketed everything with 10-15 cm of the white, fluffy stuff. Put me in the mood to do my annual Christmas baking. Made some shortbread and gevulde spekulaas, but not too much. We can't really have get-togethers and invite lots of people, and we shouldn't eat the lovely stuff all the time either.
In the meantime Tim has been busy with some computer work for new "neighbours" in the next bay over (Elizabeth Bay) and was rewarded with a case of beer from our local micro-brewery.

Ontario is now in a complete lockdown because of COVID-19. Lots of people had planned to visit parents, and to travel to meet up over dinner with friends. Restaurants had no doubt their orders in for limited dinners and stores would have been stocked up with lots of potential Christmas presents. These are really the people at the losing end. We hope that people will obey these rules and regulations, so we can stop the spread. The first vaccines have arrived and been distributed. We can only hope for the best and that we all have had our shots in early summer and be able to resume a more normal life style, go out for dinner, meet with family and friends, and go shopping for non-essential stuff instead of buying it online.
