I started to write this post in October, and revisiting it now on December 11. Lazy? Who? Me?
We sure had some amazing colours this fall, and I am recovered (mostly) from my hip replacements, and could go for some decent walks in the woods with Stella and Tim, if he was around. Yes indeed, yours truly goes for walks on her own, without the use of a cane. Here some pictures, some taking during walks, and some just taken around the house.
We also decided to bite the bullet and get an air conditioning unit for the house. Summers seem to get warmer and now that we're without a boat we may just need that. Decided to get a minisplit. The nice thing about those units is that they also serve as a heat pump and are efficient putting out heat if the outside temperature is 5C and up. Ideal for the shoulder seasons, when it's too warm to start a fire. Tim installed it all and it works like a charm.
In the meantime November came and more pictures have been taken, but none with snow. We still have green grass here (aside from the occasional dusting) and "warm" temperatures. Didn't stop us from putting the tree up and putting the lights up outside. All this while the sun was shining and temperatures were 5 to 10 C.
One tree up and another came down in a very powerful storm, with gusts of 90 km per hour, at the back of the property.
Tim also discovered a nice cliff on the property and is opening a trail to it.
And now it's December, the baking has started and we're waiting for snow.
