Haul out, then summer started, and now it's fall

After our glorious week of finding empty anchorages, it truly was back to work . Tim decided to take the boat out on September 9, within a week of us getting back. He had a major computer job coming up and we figured that our season was over based on the weather we have had.

Of course, this is when summer starts. We were just looking at each other and grinding our teeth. We never had this warm a weather for the whole season, nor was the water as warm according to the readings of the buoy in the North Channel. However it gave us time to work on and around the house and just smiling, knowing that next year we can take all the time in the world and haul the boat out later.

One weekend it was so warm, that we went to the beach and we all went swimming.

Also went to Creemore to visit Dave & Cheryl "on the hard". Had a really good time, with lots of good food. Went for a walk in the local forest the next morning and saw this

Took Stella to the local conservation area today and she practiced her balanced walking on trees with Tim. Can't really see it on the picture, but these stumps are a 1/2  meter above ground.
