For some reason Tim and I decided years ago that 12 Mile Bay is a good place to be on July 1. So, off we went again this year. The winds were forecast to be on the nose, if there were going to be any winds at all. Due to the famous land effect (a term invented by Environment Canada to hide their mistakes), we actually were able to motor sail most of the way. Some of our friends on C-dock came to join us the next day. They had to motor. No wind. We had some great weather.
