Other boating news
Spring and start of the summer were cold, wet and windy. Did not go out for overnighters too much, and just worked on the boat. Also had other people working on the boat. We can now extend our season. We will be protected against rain and bugs. We got full enclosure. Here some pictures.
The frame is installed by father and son, AHOY. They were able to use most of the frame we already had from the old dodger and bimini.
Then the weather turned cold and all was put on hold. They want warm weather, so that they can stretch everything and then install it. This to prevent that the enclosure will wrinkle in warm conditions. (We have seen a company just install and stretch in cold conditions, and now that it is warming up, things don't look so tight anymore, so we are glad that Paul takes his time). So, we had a frame on the boat, and fabric and window in the shop all sown up, waiting to be installed. Tim rescued the old bimini from the dumster and that gave us a bit of shade on our trip to Hope Island. Sailing to Hope was good, the weather was warm, and we had a good time. Did not swim. The water was only 15C.

After that weekend the weather gods finally came to their senses and the enclosure was installed. Lots of windows, that can be rolled down, and then we have the mosquito screens still in place, or we can just take them out. So, we have windows, screens, and nothing.

The crew seems to enjoy it.
