Tomorrow it will be Christmas Eve

Well, it has been some time. So, a lot of pictures, and a bit of writing.

Our fall weather was stunning. No major storms, rain on the odd occasion, and warm. All this meant that the leaves stayed on the trees, and there were a lots of colours to enjoy.

It also made for this stunning sunset

There was some digging going on as well; a 3 ft trench for the water supply to the loft.

It was also warm enough to wear shorts and give Ms Stella a bath at the dock.

And there was an abundance of mushrooms, some really big ones and including some purple ones that we have never seen.

A finch had a close encounter with our living room window. We hoped he was just dazed and confused. We put him on a chair and sure enough after 20 minutes he flew onto the porch railing and then took off.

And then all the leaves fell in one week. Too many to rake. So out came the 2 leaf blowers

Snow in the forecast meant that we had to hurry to finish the job. Nothing worse than dealing with wet leaves.

We had some snow on the ground, which melted rapidly the next day.

And then we got some more in the first week of December

And the sun came out, and we thought that winter had finally started, but no such luck. It all melted again.

In the meantime there was the loft to work on as well.

Much to Stella's chagrin. She just wants to play and go for runs in the woods
