Fall continues in all its glory

Here some pictures taken this week. The barn across the road catches the morning sun and we have this glorious view.

It has been very windy the last week or so with gale warnings for the lakes. Needless to say that the fishermen stayed in harbour and that supplies are running low. Have 1 piece left in the freezer. Hopefully the weather will calm down.

This picture was taken yesterday in the marina from the deck of the local brew pub. The owners had organized a fall fest, and introduced a new beer, a wheat beer, and some local food vendors were present as well. All that with life music. A good time was had by all.
Seems that, now that summer is over, the seasons of fests and fairs is starting. Most of the fairs offer lunches and the proceeds go to a charity of the town's choice. The first Christmas Fair is on Saturday in Evansville, township of Burpee Mills, but run by a person from Silver Water, Karen, a very active community member, and she asked if we could volunteer. We said yes. Proceeds will go to the Mindemoya hospital that is in the process of updating some of their cardio equipment.
