Arrived in Gore Bay

Well, as of May 4 we are of "no fixed address". While still working we lived with our friends Drew and Jan, and had a really good time, be it with a note of sadness. We're so used to call each other and say "let's walk the dogs, or have some wine, or dinner", or all three of those things. We will visit however. Left their house on Friday to catch the ferry at 1:30 to Manitoulin. Cars fully loaded and trailer in tow.


We're staying in an apartment in Gore Bay at the moment and will work on the boat in the coming days and then move in. Today however we decided to drive to the new property and just have a look. Walked a bit along the road and looked in amazement at what we had bought. A property that looks like a park. Also just talked randomly to a few really nice people in Silver Water, our community for some years to come (trust Tim) and met the Assistant Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, Carol Hughes. I have the sneaky suspicion that life will be very busy in retirement just talking to all these people.
