Winter's revenge

Two weekends ago we had temperatures of maybe -3 or-4C, and sun after a bit of a snowfall for us, and a bit more up north. That weekend we had a really nice hike at the Bannockburn Conservation area, where Stella, after  a 5 km. hike, was contemplating to go for a swim or not. We told her "No!". She understood the whole word, the "N" and the "O".

Then the big melt, and whatever snow there was disappeared and the lakes were ice free once again. So.... we had some snow on Thursday, 40 cm. total in 24 hours.The dog loves it. The only times of the year she is allowed to dig.

 Today's high -20 and still some snow falling. The snow shoes will finally leave the closet and we will go for some hikes the coming days. Big melt is apparently on for next weekend.
