New Year

Christmas came and went. So did New year's Eve. Both days were spent at home, with too much food, Maaike (Christmas) and Marjo (New Year) and friends. Quiet, but nice in general.  The big let down was that we were too late making an offer on a property that we really liked. Sitting on 25 acres. We did due diligence (because it seemed so cheap, so where is the catch?) and were punished for that one.

Others will come up for sale, so we have been told, so we wait. We now have a very clear idea of what we can afford, and questions to ask and know, that if we truly like it, to make an offer right there and then.

Some of the decorations are still up. I always have a hard time taking them down all at once

The tree however is gone. The lights were last to come off and I still keep it in a box in which our few tree decorations were packed when we moved from Holland.

We also made a stop at the marina. We have had a lot of snow these days and more to come tomorrow (25 cm.). So snow removal seemed a good idea. The boat at the left gives you an idea of the amount of snow. Tim had removed most of it already on our boat.

Our fierce Donald in the meantime is playing a bit of a prank here. Too funny not to post.

  1. By funny you clearly meant to say: "so creepy that it will mentally and emotionally traumatize anyone who sees it", right?
