Christmas is almost there

Had the famous Lucan Christmas parade and cooked the usual Indonesian fare. Only 11 adults this year. Made for a nice sit-down meal.

Here the start of Ajam Pangang. Too cold to barbecue, so cooked the chicken on high for a few minutes and then covered it with the sauce.

Also decorated cookies for the student workers at the library. Jennifer (new bosss) had made some amazing soups for dinner. After that, we went to work, decorating the cookies she had baked. Kelly and I contributed to the goodie bags as well with chocolate chip cookies (Kelly) and pepernoten (yours truly). May make some more in the future ... They were really good, and had I not counted the grand total, Tim would have stolen more than the 5 or so he took.

Maaike will be home for Christmas, Marjo will be here for New Year. Looking forward to a 2 week break, spending time with the kids and Tim, and planning our summer adventures. Till that time though we will enjoy the snow and all activities that come with it. Will post some pictures hopefully.
