Left for our holidays on July 14 at 9 in the morning.No wind and hot and humid. Tried to sail, but soon were motoring. First stop at 12 Mile Bay. Stayed the night and left the next morning for Pointe au Baril. Just enough wind to sail, with just the occasional motor sailing to keep our speed at at least 5 knots. Found our anchorage completely empty and had a really peaceful night. Left the next morning for Killarney. Had a beautiful sunrise. Not enough wind to just sail, and did the old motor sailing again, until we were 2 hours out and had just enough land effect to turn the engine off. Stayed in Covered Portage for 2 nights and finally met the crew of Quintessence, another CS33 out of the Midland Bay Sailing Club.

Had planned to go to Frazer Bay for a few days, but found ourselves rushing to Little Current for 4 new batteries. From there on to Croker, then met up with Georgian mist at Hotham. Hotham was nice, but the deer flies and mosquitoes were just to much to take. So we fled, there is no other word for it. Spent a night in the Benjamins and now back in Croker to sit out some wind.
