Trip to Penetang, Big Chute and Beaver Valley

So, here we are, in Bill's and Jill's place. Bill and Jill have property in Penetanguishene and we usually stay there when boating season is over. They overlook the Inner Harbour and we can actually see our boat from their house.

Time to drop the mast and get Winsome ready for the winter. Felie and Max stayed in the apartment to catch up on reading, snoozing and some walking in the park.

Big Chute.

This is on the Trent-severn waterway and connects Georgian Bay with Lake Ontario. There a re quite a few locks, but one spot is different. It does not have locks. They actually lift boats out of the water onto a marine rail car and take the boats over the falls and road to the next water way. The water that races throught these falls is used for generating hydro.

Beaver Valley.
