July 23, Croker Island

Starting to loose track of date and time. After Covered Portage we went to Croker Island. One boat there was swinging on the hook, everybody else was tied stern to shore.

The weather was good when we arrived late in the afternoon, but went foul the next day, with a morning of solid rain, then drizzle and then just plain damp. We went blueberrie picking in the afternoon. With the cold and wet summer the pickings were slim, but gathered enough for muffins, a cake and pancakes for several days. No pictures of this adventure. We were optimistic and thought we would take pictures on a bright and sunny day. (Next year maybe?).

Next day was still grey, boats left, but Tim and I decided to stay for another day or so. We were ready for a few days of nothingness. By the afternoon things cleared up and other boats arrived. Much to our surprise Mast Transit, Aquilon and Tug'n arrived. All from Hindson, our home marina. Mast Transit suggested cocktails on the rocks at 5 o'clock,  and asked all the other boaters in the anchorage to join us.

 

 We were planning to go to Little Current the next day, but the wind told us, and others, to stay put.

Left the next day for Little Current, where we stayed the night at the dock.
