Another weekend spent at home

Ahoy is working on our canvas and it should be (worst case scenario) done  by Tuesday. So, hot and humid weather, and no enclosure to have shade in the cockpit, plus the fact that Ahoy would be all over the boat, we decided to stay home again and do some jobs around the house. In my case it was gardening. Boating and gardens is a terrible combination. I have 2 gardens that are well maintained, the other ones, not so much.

All these gardens were developed during Tim's flying days and of course, both daughters had their own gardens.




Good plan. weeded the 2 well maintained gardens, started on garden # 3 and thought "this is crazy. It's too hot."





 


Cardboard kills weeds. Collect cardboard and put mulch on top and off you go.

Since it was hot and Stella hadn't had a swim in 2 weeks, we decided this afternoon to take her to the beach. It was windy, as you can tell by one of her ears, and some good waves, but she didn't care. She was very happy.
