We sold the mighty Winsome II. We didn't think this would happen this fast, if ever. Had planned to sell her 3 years ago, and were looking at a Catalina 42 in the States, but that was the spring that the engine blew, and any ideas of selling the Winsome and buying a bigger boat, were gone really fast. Another boat that was coming up for sale looked very attractive, and after humming and hahing (how do you spell that?), we decided to give it a try. We know the owners of the boat we were interested in, and know that it is really well maintained (same level as we maintained  the Winsome, and that includes a new engine as well). As luck, or bad luck would have it, when we did  the deal for our boat, Simply Blue was sold at the same time. We could have made an offer before selling the Winsome, but the idea of owning 2 boats, scared us. Done that in the past (twice) and it just gives me more grey hair and it makes Tim extremely nervous. So, no boat for us. Sad, but it gives us the time to prep the house for selling next spring. Paint and empty it from 25 years of accumulating stuff. There is stuff here, and I wonder "why did I get that?"

Planning to go to Nova Scotia this summer. We will stay with Tim's sister Ghlee and family for the first few days. Have not seen them since the Whistler Olympics. After that we have a cabin booked in Hubbards, halfway between Mahone Bay and Halifax, right here. Also booked a cabin on Cape Breton, named the Driftwood Lodge. We stayed there for our honeymoon. Now we just hope that the weather will cooperate.

But first we will actually go to Manitoulin Island by car. Been there so often by boat and you only get to see the local grocery store and the marina in Little Current and Gore Bay. Now we're planning to drive there and explore. Should be fun. Doing this the last week of June, the week we had planned to take the boat up to Gore Bay, and get a slip there. The boat will still go there, since the new owners of Winsome II have a slip up there already and they plan to sail her up late June, early July.

And who knows, we may buy another boat yet in the future. The fact that somebody here in this house is already looking on the internet, well...
