Do and Felie came for a week

My sisters from Holland came to visit us for a week and, even though fall had not much of a show going, the weather really cooperated except for 1 day. Sun and sun and more sun and temperatures in the 20s. Nights cool. Good for sleeping. Took them for some road trips. First one to the Pinery, a provincial park close by, to go for a hike and look at the waves. Wind had been blowing 30 knots and the result was there. They were amazed about the height of the waves in this lake.

My family always bring me Indonesian  dried shrimp and candle nuts chips, that you have to deep fry. As a thank you I cooked them a mini rijsttafel.

Next day we went for a hike at Hoggs Falls. Planning to go there again this winter snow shoeing. Should be fun.

Monday was just "let's just sit and relax". The dog needed a break from all the attention.

However, this family is not very good at sitting around, so another hike. This time a trail at the edge of Goderich. Takes yo up high and you have a good view of the harbour, the salt mine and then you can go down to a very nice sand beach.

After that Tim and I both had to work, but Do and Felie still had a good time, walking around the village. They even discovered a 2 km. trail that we didn't even know about. Something else to explore.
