Launch!

This year we had the boat professionally waxed after some deck work. The result are amazing, at least for now.

 And the mighty Winsome II is about to be launched. Ice is gone from the marina, and even from some anchorages close by. One sailboat went out for an overnighter. Since we don't have a heater on the boat, I'm not too jealous. Was pretty chilly and on Sunday it turned really frigid around lunch time. For the curious people. At our slip the water temperature was 47F when we launched, but went up all the way to 53F BRRR.




For Stella the boat was just another area to be a pup in. Went up and down the companion way as if it were the most natural thing to do ... and then she stumbled and fell. We hope she will get her confidence back.

One thing she is really good at is seeking out the comfort zones of the boat. Not sure if I like this. She stole my lazy chair!!!

Left on Sunday. Tim and Stella are back up now to work on the mast (we really should teach Stella to bring tools and such)

 and get some walks in. Stella is still not sure about this whole water thing. She hates having a bath! but sure enjoys the nice weather and lazy spots in the cockpit.

On Sunday Stella will be 6 months. We will celebrate her b-day by sipping a Stella Artois and enjoying a hot dog on the boat. I am sure that Tim will send pictures of this, and I will also put them here.
