Happy New Year

Christmas was a green Christmas. Since I moved to Canada, I had only experienced this once. It seemed that every year that a white Christmas was a sure thing, and if not, then a day or so before we would at least have a dusting of snow. We remembered last year's snow all too well and I think that everybody had mixed feelings of relief (no snow to clear and safe driving) and sadness. Well, winter came with a vengeance on Monday, January 2, in the late afternoon.

This is what it looked like outside, and after everything was over and done with the next morning we had 40 cm. of snow and lots of wind to cause those lovely white-outs.
